Industrial Gas Training

The requirement for personnel to be Gas Safe registered does not apply to Factories as defined by the Factories Act, but there is a requirement for any person working on a Gas system within a factory to be competent.

Saflame, in conjunction with our CITB approved training provider, can provide the skills training and qualification required to demonstrate the required level of competance to satisfy your legal obligations.

Industrial Burner Controls and Combustion
Industrial Pipework
Industrial Tightness Testing and Purging
Industrial Burner Controls and Combustion
Individual Controls are arranged into a complete control system depending on the type of appliance, and the way it is required to operate.

The Industrial Burner Controls and Combustion will require candidate to carry out the following tasks:

Identify the safe method and procedure for the initial lighting of industrial appliances
Identify and test the flame failure devices on a range of industrial appliances
Demonstrate the serviceability of inbuilt safety devices on industrial appliances
Identify and set the controls of the maximum heat input on an appliance so as to prevent bad combustion or overheating under normal use
Check out and test manually operated controls adjacent to the appliance for the purpose of isolating the main gas supply to the main or pilot burner
The above tasks will be carried out on a range of generic commercial appliances. Where a candidate and the employer have specific factory processes a separate session can be arranged, making the Industrial Burner Controls and Combustion training more appropriate to their needs.
